The White House is under fire for a blog post asking supporters to send "fishy" information received through rumors, chain e-mails and casual conversations about Health Care Reform to a White House e-mail address, flag@whitehouse.gov. (Holy Tattletails, Batman!)
What is going on here? Anyone who doesn't agree with the White House is now going to get put into a database and be on a watch list? This sounds like the commie scare in the 1960's or George Orwell's book, 1984, in which Big Brother was watching.
So be careful. Any email or conversation you have might end up in a White House database. I can only imagine the outcry if this had been suggested during the Bush years. O.K., so it was bad when Bush was President, however, this is just way too frightening to me. I think the comedian, Lewis Black summed it up best when he said, "So a Republican stands up in Congress and says, 'I have a really bad idea' and then a Democrat stands up and says, 'And I can make it shittier!'"
Better get out the Charmin....things are going to get a whole lot shittier before it gets better. Uh-oh, I hope this doesn't end up in a White House Database.
