As you might expect we have some great conversations in the Kirby House. We have always had a rule that any family member can talk about anything. No topic is Taboo or Off Limits. As a couple and as parents, we believe that the home is where "issues of the day" should be discussed...openly and honestly. There is only one caveat to the rule: "What gets discussed inside the walls of our house, stays within the walls of our house."Well, last night was no exception. It is at this point that I would like to make it clear that this conversation has been cleared by the Planet Kirby censors and that since it is a commonly known issue amongst the family members, I have been authorized to share it with the Planet Kirby family. I now return you to today's feature...
Like I said before I was so rudely interrupted...last night was no exception. I simply made a comment to my oldest son that when I get old I was going to come live with him. He quickly informed me that I was already old and that there was no way I would ever be staying at his house. I told him that if anything ever happened to Donna that I would need someone to live with. It was at this point he reiterated that my living arrangements did not involve him and that I would most likely be living with my buddy, Brian.
This is where I should explain his statement...I have often said that if Donna leaves this world first that I would never marry again. How could I? But I would love to hang out with my best man friend, Brian. It would be great. We both love sports. We love to watch the same things on TV. He likes to cook and I like to eat. We both love beer. We both like to sit in our recliners and fall asleep with the TV on. We could get a maid to clean the house. We both like movies about war and the Old West. We could belch and emit other noxious odors and not have to say "Excuse Me". We wouldn't care if our clothes matched or not. Did I just describe Heaven or What?
I guess I really won't be needing Nathan to take me in. It looks like I have the future all planned out. My life just keeps getting better everyday.
Be Well.
Bill
