As many of you know, Planet Kirby was designed to be a humoristic blog about my life. It was started as a means of therapy for me to get all of the thoughts out of my head and onto the blog. While I have never claimed to be an authority on anything, I do believe that we can all learn from one another.
As people found out about Planet Kirby they began to follow all of my rants, ravings and jokes about life. Over the last two years, people from all over the world have dropped in for a visit and many have sent me emails or commented, on my favorite social network, about how Planet Kirby has impacted their life or brought a smile or a laugh into their life.
That being said, I would now like to discuss a word that I found today on UrbanDictionary.com. I realize that the word is not recognized in any Standard English Dictionary but the definition is as real as it gets. The word is Asside. The definition is as follows: "A smart ass remark posted anonymously online when you're too chickenshit to own it." It is at this point I would like to make something super clear...I don't mind negative comments about the blog or any of the stuff that I write. Any comment, positive or negative, just proves that what I write is relative. What I deplore is someone who makes a negative comment and then doesn't own up to it. If you're going to make a negative statement, be an adult and own up to it. Don't be chickenshit.
I know what you're thinking, "Wow, Bill, don't take it so personally." Here's the deal...it's my blog and it's about me. It's about my world and how I've coped with depression, therefore I do take it personally. So, if someone doesn't like the blog or what I write, then don't read it. Go somewhere else and read up on how to be a tranny or something. But don't be a hater and then puss out by not leaving your name.
There is plenty of room on Planet Kirby for everyone. Well, maybe not...on second thought, anyone who is too chickenshit to own up to their comments isn't welcome. The sad part is this...they probably need this blog more than they realize. But until they become enlightened, I wish they would just take their silly-assed self somewhere else. I hear that Assholes Anonymous is always looking for new members.
