Welcome To The Revolution

"Art is either plagiarism or revolution."  ~  Paul Gauguin

I thought I would add the title of 'Artist' to my repertoire of honors bestowed upon myself.  The last title I dropped next to my name was 'Writer'; actually, a more correct title would be 'Blogger'.  I love to write and it really is more of a therapeutic avenue for me than anything else.  Sometimes I close my eyes and envision what the words will look like on the pages of my blog.  And then the thoughts and words begin to flow.

So today I thought I would close my eyes and see what picture I could come up with.  That is literally what I did.  I closed my eyes and let the paint brush move across the canvas as if it were a Ouija board.  To say that my style of art is abstract would be, well, abstract.  I think a more correct term to describe my style of art would be Kirbilicious.

To interpret the art from the Kirbilicious period, one must just let their imagination run wild and let the raw emotion of the paint strokes speak to you.  When I completed this painting, I thought that the emotion contained in the colors screamed, "Revolution" or maybe it was "Bozo The Clown".  I'm not sure which; there was a lot of noise in the room where I was hanging out.

Anyway, I had fun with it.  I hope you did too.

Be Well.
