I Believe In Miracles

"My home is in heaven.  I am just traveling through this world."  ~  Billy Graham

I believe in miracles.  The dictionary defines a miracle as, "an extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause."  Like when Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.  I think that event surpassed all known human or natural powers.

Maybe I should rephrase my original statement.  I believe in miracles today.  I know that some people don't share my view.  They say that the time of miracles is past.  I read one commentary recently where this pastor said that we have the Bible now and we no longer need miracles but only faith.

While I will not get into a discussion of theology, I will only say this... I think God is only limited by our faith.  I believe that God wants to perform miracles.  And I'm believing in God to perform some miracles in my life.  And I'm believing in God to perform some miracles in the lives of some of my friends and family.

Let's face it.  There is no limit to God's power.  The pastor who wrote the article saying that God is done performing miracles because of some Biblical Timeline is only limiting what God can do in his life.  Not me.  I've always been a dreamer.  Just ask my wife.

Be Well.
