"Don't limit yourself. Many people limit themselves to what they think they can do. You can go as far as your mind lets you. What you believe, remember, you can achieve." ~ Mary Kay Ash
This morning while I was spending some time with God, I read a passage from the Old Testament which led to a lively conversation between me and the Creator of the Universe. I have to admit that I was out late last night and I was feeling a little bit punchy. Moreover, the passage was appropriate because last night someone reminded me that I was follically challenged. So in my devotions, I told God that since He won't grant me the ability to fly; how about He grant me the superhero power that Elisha had. Check this out:
From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along
the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. “Get out of here,
baldy!” they said. “Get out of here, baldy!” He turned around, looked at them
and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out
of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys. II KIngs
2:23,24
That's what I want...the ability to summon pissed off bears
to claw the shit out of someone. "What? I'm bald? Take this you dumbass!" And
then I summon the bears. From then on it would be a simple choice: Be nice to me
or get first-hand knowledge of the digestive system of Ursus Horribilis.
I guess my wife is right... I am crabby when I'm tired.
Be Well.
