God Is Bigger

"Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans."  ~  John Lennon

Sometimes life can be overwhelming.  The pressures of being an adult with all of my adult responsibilities makes my heart yearn for the days when I was a kid and the extent of my troubles revolved around winning Little League baseball games.  Those were the days.  Playing baseball and hanging out with my friends.  It's funny how when you are young you want to grow up and be an adult and when you're an adult you wish you were young again.

I've learned that life is a lot more difficult when you try to do it on your own.  And today I was reminded that there is someone who lives today who witnessed the Constitutional Convention in 1787, who saw Martin Luther nail his 95 theses to the door of Castle Church in 1517, who was present at the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, who observed Moses as he parted the Red Sea, who talked with Adam and Eve in the garden, and who existed before the earth was created.  I was reminded that God is eternal and that there is no trial, tribulation or temptation that I am going to face that He won't help me overcome.  I just have to let Him.

At some point today, I don't remember exactly when, I just took my daily planner and gave it to God.  I gave up.  So many times I worry about things that I don't have any control over and it just wrecks me.  As the day rolled on, the items on my planner didn't change but my approach to how I was going to deal with them did.

Be Well.
