Let Love Rule

I admit it, I say, “I love you” a lot.  And, I say it to a lot of people.  And, I say it to men and I say it to women.

A long time ago I learned the power of saying “I love you.”  When spoken from the heart those words have the ability to heal, cleanse and encourage.  That being said, now would probably be a good time to reassure you that by my extravagant use of 1-4-3 (code for I love you) it doesn’t cheapen or diminish the emotion behind the phrase when I say it to my wife.  When I say it to her it’s like “I love you” to the power of infinity.  So let’s move on.

Think about it, we all want to be loved and we all want to give love.  I think we are born that way.  You might not agree but I don’t care; I love you anyway.  So if giving love is in our genome why don’t we profess it to those who need it the most?  It seems that people are so eager to argue about political preferences but mute when it comes spreading healing and encouragement through the power of “I love you.”  Maybe it’s because somewhere along their life’s journey their spirit of giving, receiving and professing love was damaged.

I feel like I’m rambling and maybe I am.  Maybe this all sounds trite and trivial, however, it’s who I am.  What’s odd is that until recently I had no problem telling others that I loved them but I couldn’t love myself.  Somewhere along my journey I guess that I got damaged too. Looking back, my nature has always been to try to make others feel better which was the genesis of the Bill Kirby 1-4-3.

I might not always know the question but I know that love is the answer.

I love you.

Be well.

Bill
